Certifications and Levels
All learning within Agora College is based on the principles and practices of IYD.
Agora’s goal is to support a large, diverse and well-equipped force of Youth Developmental Ecologists to be able to deliver workshops, seminars, and events to all sectors, in every country in the world. The philosophy of Agora College is to educate both youth and adults together because the learning is far more meaningful and practical.
PHlight Instructors
Top Echelon – Level 5
PHlight Instructors (Top Echelon – Level 5) are eligible to do the following:
- IYD Keynote Addresses
- Conference Workshops on IYD
- Two-Day TOPPS (Training of Promoters, Presenters, and Storytellers) Training – In turn, the people receiving these trainings can do a basic IYD Balloons and Yarn Presentation to groups of 5 or more people in an effort to get the IYD concept spread rapidly.
- One-Day IYD Seminars
- Life Planning Workshops
- Youth Coaching
- IYD Parent Seminars
- IYD Parent Nights
- IYD Business/Corporate Lunch and Learns
- IYD Promotional Workshops (Full length – minimum of 1-½ hours)
- IYD Overview Promotional Workshops (Short Version – 45 minutes – highlights)
PHellow
Level 4
PHellow (Level 4) are eligible to do the following:
- One-Day IYD Seminars
- Life Planning Workshops
- Youth Coaching
- IYD Parent Seminars
- IYD Parent Nights
- IYD Business/Corporate Lunch and Learns
- IYD Promotional Workshops (Full length – minimum of 1-½ hours)
- IYD Overview Promotional Workshops (Short Version – 45 minutes – highlights)
PHaculty
LEVEL 3
PHaculty (Level 3) – are eligible to do the following:
- Life Planning Workshops
- Youth Coaching
- IYD Parent Seminars
- IYD Parent Nights
- IYD Business/Corporate Lunch and Learns
- IYD Promotional Workshops (Full length – minimum of 1-½ hours)
- IYD Overview Promotional Workshops (Short Version – 45 minutes – highlights)
PHriend
LEVEL 2
PHriend (Level 2) are not eligible to lead workshops, trainings, or use IYD in their coaching:
Can offer no trainings and are members of the Web of Support PHlock because they have heard a presentation about IYD, are telling others about the Web of Support, and are making intentional efforts to connect with kids, and want to know more about IYD.
PHan
LEVEL 1
PHan (Level 1) are not eligible to lead workshops, trainings, or use IYD in their coaching:
Can offer no training and are members of the Web of Support PHlock because they see the relevance of IYD and seek to learn more.

- IYD Workshop before and after going through Divorce
- Teen Parent Workshops on IYD
- IYD University workshops for Teacher Preparation Programs
- IYD Workshop for Prisoners With Children
- IYD Workshop for Parents with Children in State Custody
- IYD Workshop for Military Personnel with Children Before Deployment and Upon Return
- IYD Continuing Education Courses for Certified Public School Teachers
- IYD Course Offered at Community Colleges, Colleges and Universities
